Diane Wilde is a true Rennaissance woman with many skills and interests.
She is an artist, professional photographer, musician and entrepreneur. Encouraged by her parents from a young age to be a competent person, Diane was exposed to a great variety of experiences and as such, aquired a strong skill set in a number of disciplines. Spending summers in the Gulf Islands, Diane learned to swim, fish, row boats, operate outboard motors, chop wood, build fires, forage for wild edibles and cook them over a campfire. The rest of the year, Diane honed other skills such as singing from the age of five into adulthood and completing grade 10 piano with the Royal Conservatory of Toronto. Diane received her education degree with a minor in early childhood education from a small private college in Vancouver and worked as a buyer and business manager for college and university bookstores for many years. She has also been a foster parent, worked with youth at risk, and, for the past few years worked in before and after school programs with the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club in Lake Country. She has loved working there but now sees an opportunity to offer the children of Lake Country opportunities like the one's she experienced herself as a child. Experiences that she believes led to the achievement of personal success in life.
